August’s updates included numerous minor fixes, quality-of-life updates, and continued efforts towards building out NPC goal-based behaviors.
New/Updated Commands:
- watch/ignore/command <NPC> — employee/buddy NPCs can now be monitored/commanded by multiple players
Environment:
- NT General Hospital now has antivenom
- new black market stall in the Neon Ghetto with different items to the one in the chasm
Tech:
- ensure ‘stop’ commands always unset actions in case of stuck states
- better checking of attackers during combat
- updated drug pulse/system to better handle more drug types and cleanup
- reduced XP gains from combat to bring more in line with other XP-generating systems
- added IDs to players to better separate characters between deaths
- fixes to AI function calling, which Gemini promptly broke afterwards
- better messaging for apartment bank drafts
- updated server/IC time to reflect EST time zone

- armor now reduces up to a base amount instead of percentages
- fixed bug where armor was straight up doing nothing
- fix for black market stalls showing out-of-stock items to player that purchased last item
- food counter/bar delivery failure message fix
- additional implant detail for surgeons
- NPC wandering updates and NPCs can now “return home” when lost
- implemented eat/drink goals for NPC behaviors
- added city manager system for managing NPC behaviors
